Officers were dispatched to a trespassing call. Complainant advised his ex-girlfriend was trespassing in his backyard. This was the third time this week officers had to respond to this call. Female had been diagnosed with a form of mental illness and was known to be suicidal. On this date, female was screaming obscenities and threatening the male complainant who was locked inside of his residence. When the officer arrived on scene, the female picked up a pickaxe and held it down to her side and began threatening the officer. The officer immediately called for back-up.  To avoid the female the opportunity to escalate the situation with the pickaxe, the officer chose to utilize the BolaWrap device from a safe distance and wrapped the pickaxe to the female which caused her the inability to raise the pickaxe towards the officer.
